Circuit Training

Tuesdays at 7.30 – 8.30pm, Dorrington Village Hall in the Main Hall

Circuit Training is a form of body conditioning or resistance training using high-intensity aerobics. It targets strength building and muscular endurance. An exercise “circuit” is one completion of all prescribed exercises in the program.

Condover Cricket Club was established in 1922. The club has played continuously at the village playing fields since the Cohen family bequeathed it for the benefit of the sport in the village in1948.

Condover CC joined the Borders league in 1975. Membership increased dramatically in the 1980’s with the merger of Condover CC and Longdon CC. In 1991 Condover joined the Shropshire League, and for a time merged with Wroxeter CC, before separating in 2006.

We currently have two senior teams competing in the Hansons Shropshire League, one mid–week team competing in the Shrewsbury and District Evening League and one indoor winter team. We have a thriving junior section with U11 and U13 league sides. We currently have approximately 100 playing and non playing members. We are a designated Focus Club by the Shropshire County Cricket Board and were awarded Clubmark accreditation in 2013.

Come to learn to dance with experts and have fun!  Apart from Dance Classes, we also offer Wedding Dance Choreography, Private Lessons, Workshops, Social Dance and many more.

Help to Change

Do you know someone who would like to be more healthy? Maybe it’s someone who needs help to lose weight, or to stop smoking?
At Dorrington Village Hall Help2Change clinics are held in the Office every Monday evening, 5pm – 7pm.

 Appointments are with Kim Bebbington, and can be booked by calling 0345 6789 025.

The Metafit™ is the original 30 minute, non choreographed, body weight only HIIT workout.  

It combines the latest HIIT training techniques with traditional ‘Old school’ body weight exercises to set the metabolism on fire!

Friday mornings 10 – 11am at Dorrington Village Hall in the Main Hall
Pilates Matwork classes for men and women of all ages (18-85 years) and all fitness levels.  Classes are small and progressive, allowing people to work at their own pace.

The contemporary programme is devised to develop balance throughout the body and build strong stable muscles that are also flexible and correctly aligned.  Attending regular Pilates sessions enables clients to improve and manage back problems and increase their awareness of posture thus preventing problems or conditions, in brief, we teach clients how to use these methods and to work Pilates into their daily lives

The essence of the programme is on precision, not momentum or numerous repetitions.  The programme addresses trunk stability, shoulder girdle stabilisation, maintenance of the natural alignment and form of the spine along with correct muscle recruitment, and of course, the key to most of this is the strengthening of the “core” muscles and lengthening tight muscles through movement and stretching.

Zumba Fitness is a fresh and exciting approach to exercising – it combines Latin rhythms with international red-hot dance steps.
